Harold Washington College (HWC) is an open-admission institution. We welcome applicants who:

• Are graduating from or graduates of accredited high schools
• Are General Education Development (G.E.D.) certified
• Are transferring from another college or university
• Are 18 years of age or older, not completed high school, but, do qualify for college-level work

ADMISSIONS AT HAROLD WASHINGTON COLLEGE: GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Prospective college-credit students must file the following admission materials:

NEW STUDENTS ATTENDING HAROLD WASHINGTON COLLEGE:

• Harold Washington College Student Information Card (PDF)
• Official high school transcript or G.E.D. certificate

Note: The Student Information Card is a hardcopy form that can be printed out and either faxed to 312.553.3075 or brought to the HWC Admissions Office in Room 101 at the HWC Campus.

TRANSFER STUDENTS ATTENDING HAROLD WASHINGTON COLLEGE:

• Harold Washington College Student Information Card (PDF)
• Official transcript from each college attended
• Official high school transcript or G.E.D. certificate

STUDENTS WITH COLLEGE DEGREES:

• Harold Washington College Student Information Card (PDF)
• Copy of college transcript or diploma
